WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN | CHILDCARE CENTRE
BRIEF
Waveform Environmental was engaged to develop a Waste Management Plan, as part of a Council Application for planning permission. The plan needed to Identify the volume and types of waste that can be expected to be generated at the facility; and specifying strategies to manage waste streams in accordance with Council requirements.
SOLUTION
Our team identified the types of waste that are expected to be generated and the streams requiring commercial collection. Those streams included general waste (landfill) and dry mixed recyclables (such as paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, metal cans). Other waste streams included green waste and food waste which will both be minimal
Our team provided a WMP (waste management plan) to the clients architects in order that they could update their plans where needed to make sure they included a bin storage area (for the different types of waste), bin cleaning area, path of travel to the bins and street; wall and gate construction around bin enclosure.
