RECENT PROJECT

RECYCLE PAPER PLANT | ACOUSTIC REPORT

BRIEF
Waveform Acoustics was engaged to provide an Acoustic Report in relation to employee noise exposure within the operational areas at a paper recycle facility.

SOLUTION
We attended the site to conduct noise testing across key operational area. Testing included fitting dosimeters to staff to monitor employee noise exposure and conduct attended noise measurements of key workstations and equipment.

RESULT
An acoustic report with recommendation to help the facility continue to maintain appropriate noise exposure levels was given. Follow up testing was recommended to ensure that new equipment and recommendations were continuing to ensure employee safety.

OHS | PUMP MANUFACTION

BRIEF

Waveform environmental was asked to conduct an audio assessment report for a small sized manufacturing company, The assessment report is to determine safe working noise levels with regards to certain machinery to the latest Australian Standards.

SOLUTION

In order to undertake this assessment our team met on site at the start of a shift and attached 4 dosemeters on staff, as well as setting up fixed noise loggers. Active noise monitoring was undertaken also close to equipment during operation.

RESULT

Based on these findings, we recommend that management implement a mandatory requirement for wearing hearing protection in the manufacturing plant with clear signage highlighting this to all staff. A review of operations in certain areas should be conducted with the aim of reducing high-noise tasks, including, grinding activities identified as a significant high-noise risk.
